We operate a corn, wheat, oats, cotton, peanuts, pecan and citrus farm. We need seasonal employees to assist with all aspects of our crop season. We will need help planting, growing, and harvesting crops. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, operate other farm equipment, engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities, fertilize, dust, and spray crops, spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers, load and unload crops or materials, manually or using conveyors, handtrucks, forklifts, or transfer augers, manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery, mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into machinery, observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, attach equipment extensions or accessories, load crops and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, record agricultural data, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals, examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain, herd livestock to pastures for grazing or to scales, trucks, or other enclosures, inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences, mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions, move equipment, poultry, or livestock from one location to another, manually or using trucks or carts, patrol grazing lands using all-terrain vehicles, clean equipment or facilities, operate farming equipment, prepare materials or solutions for animal or plant use, transport animals, crops, or equipment, treat animal injuries or illnesses. Employees will need to assist with farm shop work to repair equipment. No help is needed during the winter months since no crops are growing and no field grazing is occurring for cattle. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
