  Job duties include preparing fields by performing soil preparation, bed shaping, fumigation, and installing plastic mulch and drip irrigation; planting and maintaining strawberries by weeding, de-blooming, deflowering, and runner cutting; monitoring plants for pests and disease; covering and uncovering plants when winter freeze occurs; and picking the strawberries when ready. Employees will also plant grass and install property borders for steer which are brought in for winter grazing only. Employees will use hand tools to maintain plants and property borders as necessary. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
