  We are a row crop farming operation in northeast Louisiana and raise corn, wheat, sorghum, soybeans and cotton. Our season runs from mid-February to mid-November. We grow only annual crops with no permanent tree crops therefore we do not need additional labor during the months of November through February. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, planters, irrigation equipment, operate other farm equipment, engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities, irrigate soil, using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps, install, maintain and repair pivot irrigation systems, manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery, load crops and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, complete maintenance and repairs on irrigation equipment, drive pickup trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools. Assist other employees with general grounds keeping including work shop and yard cleaning, mowing and general facility maintenance. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
