Performs duties like: operates self – propelled custom class harvesting machines to harvest a variety of grain and oilseed crops. Worker adjusts speed of cutters, blowers and conveyors, and weight of cutting head, using hand tools. Change cutting head as appropriate for crop. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farmworkers. Employees will also work on a farm for a farmer maintaining farm systems and grain handling components such as grain bins, augers, dryers, etc. Workers will also assemble/install/service equipment used for grain harvesting while using hand tools and power tools. Workers may operate various types of equipment such as forklifts, skid loaders, or pickup trucks to transport. Workers will also assist in the cleaning of grain bins.
