Worker will assist with general farm and ranch operations on a mixed grain and cow-calf operation in east-central North Dakota. Duties include but are not limited to:Operating and maintaining late-model farm equipment such as tractors (e.g., Fendt, New Holland) and grain carts for field operations including planting, spraying, and harvesting of crops such as soybeans, corn, wheat, and edible beans. Performing daily livestock care for a herd of approximately 900 cow-calf pairs, including feeding, calving, monitoring animal health, checking water systems, rotating pastures, and assisting with branding and herd health protocols.Constructing, maintaining, and repairing fencing and corrals. Operating UTV's and other vehicles to transport feed, equipment, or workers and to monitor livestock in large pastures. Assisting with haying operations, including mowing, raking, baling, and stacking hay. Cleaning and maintaining work areas, barns, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and animal welfare standards. May assist with facility maintenance and upkeep of ranch structures and housing. Following all farm safety rules and protocols in accordance with employer training and OSHA standards. This position requires physical stamina, the ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in varying weather conditions, and a willingness to work flexible hours including weekends during peak seasons such as calving and harvest. Employment may be terminated for the following reasons:Repeated absenteeism or tardiness, violation of safety protocols, failure to perform job duties satisfactorily, misconduct or insubordination, and substance abuse on the job and operating machinery and vehicles.
