  The crops on which workers will work are vegetables, including lettuce, spinach, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, and onions. Workers will: prepare fields for irrigation by sprinkler or drip delivery system; set up and move irrigation pipes and equipment; perform scheduled irrigation of the fields; assist in preparation and planting/cultivation activities; weed and hoeing crops; operate farm equipment; assist with harvest activities; clean equipment and work areas, and maintain grounds; perform farmwork incidental to farming the crop(s) listed on this application; and other tasks and duties under SOC Code 45-2092. Related duties may be assigned. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Being on one’s feet for long periods of time is required. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required. Frequent turning, pushing, and pulling is required. Dexterity to use and manipulate hand tools, farm equipment, and crops is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required.
