Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by employer or supervisor: general greenhouse work, conduct various field and farm clean up tasks such as trimming trees, pulling stumps, picking up rocks and other maintenance jobs, lay plastic field mulch, jointly lift up 120 lbs of field plastic, tunnel assembly and disassembly, install stakes and apply tying twine, mechanical and hand planting of plants and seeds, hook up and maintain irrigation and drainage, hoe or pull weeds, repair blow up or damaged plastic, preharvest field and plant maintenance, hand harvest to quality standards of cucumbers, jalapenos, serranos, poblanos, banana peppers, cubanelle peppers, anaheim peppers, tomatillo, tomato, zucchini, pickles, green, orange and yellow bell peppers, onion, cantaloupe, romas, eggplant, acorn and butternut squash, yellow squash, round, grape and cherry tomatoes, dill and basil., general packing/cleaning activities to employer and food safety standards along with other incidental jobs around the packing house, record information about time, crops, fertilizers/pesticides, harvested product, inventory, harvest/cleaning/sanitation, create pallet tag identification and shipping bills, post-harvest field clean up to include removal of plastic mulch, stakes, tying twine, general repairs, maintenance and cleaning of farm equipment, irrigation and farm housing, inspect equipment, structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects, operate tractor, forklift, trucks and other agricultural equipment to unload, load, or haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers on surface streets and on the farm to and from worksites, drive employer’s product to market or storage, operate tractor, implements to transport, pull, push, till, chop and apply pesticides, and help the farm supervisor and/or owner direct or monitor the work of other workers engaged in packing and other farm work activities. Pay will be at an hourly rate, except for the harvest of cucumbers, green bell peppers, poblano peppers, cubanelle peppers, anaheim peppers, banana peppers, tomatillos, zucchini, jalapeños, serranos, round tomatoes and pickles.
