Tools and Equipment: The employer will furnish, without charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required in the performance of the specified work. Workers will be charged for any willful damage or loss of such tools and equipment. Greenhouse: Workers may seed plant trays. Workers may clean and wash plant trays. Workers may apply water and fertilizers to plants in trays. Workers may clip and mow plants. Workers may load plant trays onto trucks and wagons Diversified crops: corn, beans, wheat Workers may fill planters with seed from 50lb. Bags. Workers may operate equipment to prepare fields. Workers may spray crops for weeds and grass. Workers may apply water and fertilizers. Workers may restock trucks and equipment with seed bags. Workers may use equipment to prepare fields for planting. Workers may load and unload harvested crops for shipping and storage Hay & Straw: Workers may cut and bale hay, straw with equipment. Workers may load and unload bales onto trucks or wagons. Workers may load bales in barns for storage. Workers may load trucks for shipping. Workers may prepare fields for next crop. Produce/Diversified Crops, Melons, General Produce Workers may set plant trays in fields, by hand or equipment. Workers may chop weeds and grass from plant rows. Workers may stake and tie plants. Workers may clip or prune plants. Workers may discard harvested plants from fields. Workers may pick mature produce and box for shipping. Workers may load and unload boxes for shipping. Workers may carry boxed produce to and from trucks and wagons. Workers may clean and prepare fields for next crop. Workers may apply water and fertilizers to fields Alternative Work: This could include workers preparing barns, preparing land for planting, draining fields, maintenance of tools and equipment, and other work that is directly related to growing crops and activities for which the worker was hired. Such work will be offered when climate or crop conditions preclude working in the primary activities stated above. Alternative work may only be required if the first week wage guarantee listed in 20 CFR 653.501 is invoked.
