LS.A. Contracting Services, Inc. is a harvesting company providing labor to growers/operators for the harvesting of green tomatoes. Various duties and positions are covered by this clearance order and are listed below: Tomato Picker: I.S.A. Contracting Services, Inc. is a harvesting company providing labor to growers/operators for the harvesting of green tomatoes. The farm laborer must report to the field location to receive the daily work assignment from the field supervisor. The employee will be assigned two empty 20 liter buckets to perform the harvest. Then, he/she will harvest individual tomatoes by hand and place them into the bucket, once the bucket is filled with tomatoes, (the filled buckets will weigh approx. 25-lbs.), the employee will walk with both full buckets a distance up to 20 ft. to the nearby gondola and will hand over the full buckets one by one to the Dumper who will receive them and once emptied, the dumper returns the empty buckets back to the picker, the picker will walk back to the harvest area and resume picking tomatoes. The employee repeats this process throughout the workday and may pick up to 50 to150+ buckets of tomatoes during a typical workday. Tomato Puncher: I.S.A. Contracting Services, Inc. is a harvesting company providing labor to growers/operators for the harvesting of green tomatoes. As a farm laborer, employees must report to the field location and receive assignment from the supervisor as to where to begin picking tomatoes from the tomato plants. As the buckets are filled and carried by the tomato pickers to the dumping area to be dumped, the puncher who is standing nearby the gondola will punch the tomato card using a metal card puncher that requires using force equivalent to approximately 1pound. The puncher will climb approximately 2 ft. on to a narrow bar between the tractor and gondola to punch tomato cards for the tomato pickers on the opposite side of the gondola. Also, the puncher oversees quality control and assists the tractor driver by making sure that the area is clear when moving the tractor forward. The puncher repeats this process throughout the workday and may punch an average of 4,000 to 6,000 punches during a typical workday.
