Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. Following the Supervisors instructions, the worker will perform the following tasks: Shuttle Driver: Applicants must be 21 years or older. Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. Workers must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license during the period of employment to operate a company vehicle. The worker must be able to speak Spanish and English to effectively communicate with all workers. The shuttle driver will pick up and transport workers between housing sites and work locations and will transport workers on errands including but not limited to laundromats, grocery stores, airports, governmental agencies, and medical or dental offices. Shuttle drivers must strictly abide by all safety instructions, rules, and policies. Workers will inspect vehicles and check gas, oil, and water levels prior to departure. Workers will make minor repairs to vehicle, change tires, and load fuel, supplies, and tools. The employer will provide fuel or fuel purchase card. The shuttle driver will maintain cleanliness of the bus and safely handle passenger emergencies or disruptions. Employer assures that driver will be paid the offered wage rate for actual driving time, including but not limited to trips to fuel vehicle and time spent maintaining the vehicle. Shuttle drivers may also assist the supervisors by directing and monitoring the work of casual and seasonal help during planting and harvesting. Driver may be requested to submit to pre- hire and random drug or alcohol test at employer cost and employer discretion. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Any applicant to this position should expect to perform any of the listed job duties and crop activities assigned by the employer or the worker’s supervisor, in addition to the shuttle driver duties. Percentage job duties employment distribution: General farm labor services (planting, loading, unloading, cutting, harvesting, etc.) - 70%; Unloading Buckets - 20 %; Driving agricultural equipment - 10%. Agricultural Equipment Operator: Following the Supervisor’s instructions, the workers will operate or tend agricultural equipment, including farm trucks and farm tractor/trailer vehicles, used in agricultural production in the fields to seed and haul tools, plants, weeds, fruits, vegetables, and water for the crops around farm properties (including short distances on highways or public roads between farms and packing house and storage locations). When crops are being harvested, workers will operate heavy farm trucks to transport harvested produce and grain from farm fields to on-farm storage and packing facilities. Harvested produce will only be transported to packing or storage facilities owned by the farmer who produced the crop. These duties do not include delivering farm products to market. Drivers will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the equipment. Since these duties are only expected to account for 10% of hours worked or less and primarily performed when crops are harvested, it is expected that workers will perform other agricultural duties listed in the job order as directed by the supervisor. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid CDL license or foreign equivalent, and have 36 months of verifiable experience to perform this job duty.
